This right here is another reason why I woild like to find a 394/395! I just have to keep on telling myself that I have enough saw's.

Mine had been sitting in my uncle's tack shop for probably 10 years. I picked up a recoil, top cover and clutch cover from a friend, and a low air filter, elbow and cover from @Jimmy in NC. She's a hoss

Thanks, it's not my saw but my friends. Next weekend I'll get out my stihl ms 441 rcm ported by Alan Wolthuis and get a video for you all.

Figured out the 394 this weekend. Picked up a 36" square chain from @Redbull661 awhile back. I couldn't use my other chain cuz it's not long enough to run this bar on a husky with a 9 pin. She runs pretty good

What did you figure out? Runs damn good man!

Starts fine when cold. Hold it wide open when it's hot. Might still be the coil, I don't know. If I run it out of fuel, which is a whole bunch of wood, after I fill it up I choke it and it starts right up.

I'm looking forward to seeing that saw. I know your hybrid is a D cylinder, is your 046? Also, is the 046 ported?

My non D chamber 046 was lethargic till it was ported, even though it has 175 PSI stock!

Ive yet to build any 046 or 460 that's stronger than my 460 I did years ago.
It's a regular old cylinder, I've not noticed much difference between the 2 cylinders
Maybe stock they are different?
