Saw this 460 running today

I think the cases are OEM, but most everything else is questionable.
Perhaps it was a crush victim.
Owner brought it in on trade.
Dirty dealer had some 1128 stuff in stock and ordered AM crap for what he didn't.
Then put it up for sale as a "slightly used" saw.

I don't know cases like Y'All but can anyone run true serial number and see what comes up ? I say total fake ? Just me ?

I'd think it'd have sticker on handle ? I didn't take pictures of how bad tank molds were but can get some Monday if needed maybe remove cover get pics of cylinder mold marks, carb, whatever someone see's and post next week ? Let me know. Thanks

AM tanks don't have tank stickers.
OEM tanks have embossed "STIHL" lettering on the right side of the tank as well.

Like I said, saw was a crush victim and cheesy ass dealer rebuilt it with sh!t parts.
That's my story anyway

I bet the STIHL reps would love to hear that one.

The fact it has a dual port muffler makes that thing illegal to use on public land according to JD at stihl tech.

I think the case is oem. The tank doesn't quite look right. Probably bought a cheap one from eBay to put it back together to sell.

Even With a spark screen. Stihl techs are Not fans of Max flow or Dual ports. My answer to that is TO BAD because the stinkin saw is MINE that I bought with My money thank you and I will do with it as I please!

It's a whole 440 tank by the looks. All of it fits just not lined up right.

I believe there are AM holding tanks for 440s, but not for 460s, so likely they purchased a AM 440 tank holder to replace a broken 460, run time will be a little less, but otherwise it will work.

Looks like a 460 case with 440 tank and plastics ,smashed saw fixed with ebay parts .

This tells me I need to avoid Stihl because I have no clue what I am seeing.
