Saw this 460 running today

It definitely has some Chinese parts. I'm still thinking its a ms460 that's been prettied up with mix match of parts

Pretty sure it's a 460 that's been put together with Chinese parts. Look close at the crackcase beside the muffler above the fuel cap. It's has the big square corner and not the angle like the 440

It has a 440 air box and filter cover.
If it's a true 460, the air box wouldn't fit the 460 tank.

the top plastic for 046/460 is about half inch wider than the 044/440

Your pictures show exactly what I was trying to explain. From what I can tell the cases look like the picture of the 046 case you posted

I've built a few hybrids and perhaps 8-10 044/440's.
Here is my take on this thing.....

It's a 440, with a 460 top cover.
That's why the decomp don't line up, nor is the top cover fitting flush with the top of the filter cover....it's about 1/4" higher.
And also tilted to the right because of interference with the plastic air scoop of the 460 cover & 440 cylinder.

Jeremy, I got a 461 question for you ... did you modify or remove the internal baffle when you put the dp cover on your 461?

And some of the stickers are missing, plus I have never seen them come with the smaller bar cover. Least when we sold them they had the large cover, falling spikes, and chip guard.

The cover, spikes and chip guard must have been a regional thing TJ.
All the 460's around here look just like the one in the picture.......minus all the flaws

So what's the verdict I say 100 percent Chinese knockoff ?
Cases were too clean nothing matches 440 460 I say junk ?

When I see an 1128 around here with large side cover.......90% sure its an out-of-towner

I say that, but I have a 461R with the large cover. However.....it was shipped NIB from the other side of the state.
