How do you carry your saw on your 4wheeler? Straps slip too much. Been looking at the bolt on type that you slide the bar in. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

How long are your bars? I’ve never liked the idea of my bar carrying the weight of the power head unless on my shoulder where it’s a little more free to move around. Most of the time I bungee cord the power head and one over the bar depending on the length say up to 42”.

Here are a couple of pics of my buddies saw rack which is basically the same as what I use. His are quite old and well used but you’ll get the point. It holds 2 chainsaws with bungee cords to hold the powerheads down. Basically like what merc_man posted just made out of wood. It’s bolted to the atv front rack with U-bolts.

ATV Saw mount 2.jpg At one time i decided to build a rack for my Polaris.Yes made of wood. And yes it worked very well.I have since moved on to another rack. Here is my attempt at welding. The clamp holding the bar in place is to pieces of 1/8 plante with a hinge. A bolt behind the clamp has to pieces of rebar welded to the bolt, these are covered with rubber hose.1 1/4 inch square tubing is the frame. I used self tapping screws from beneath to attach the frame to the top of the wheeler.I used a section of fire hose to protect the bar and chain from damage.
