I'm wondering about an air leak? Fuel line? Crank seal? Could something be effed up with the clutch and pulling the engine rpm down? I have a similar issue going on with a saw I just started working on but haven't given it much attention yet so this may be interesting. Check the fuel line though

Coil?

Heats up causes a problem. You have a 2 piece or single?

Almost has to be a carb issue. A leaking seal or any other air leak would cause a lean condition, not a rich condition....

Although, I have experienced ignition issues on my 250r that I swore was a jetting issue. Chased my tail a good while on that one. Ignition problems can mimic a fuel problem like nobody's business.

Ive seen a couple 670's and a 625 that i have do it as well. Changed the carb on one and bought new needle springs for the others, but haven't gotten around to putting them on yet. Way too many saws lol.

Si.

El Governoro

If it's leaking, the tune will be all over the place on the high side.

Remove and block off.
I would do this first and then go from there. El Governoro make mucho problem0 most of the time.

I don't recall seeing a brass plug on the side of the carb, but I'm going to pull it tonight and go through it again.

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I appreciate it.
