Which piston will you be using?

IIRC, the 036 has a 10mm pin and the 038 a 12mm pin.

If I don't have a needle bearing from some other model that makes it work then I'll consider an early slanted fin 044 top end.

I ported a 026 today for the first time in many years,I tried a little different approach,cut 030 from the base and 020 from the chamber on a angle and left the piston stock,no flattening the dome,tried
A higher exhaust for giggles.
It's 100 123 73 200lbs of compression which is low but what I was shooting for.
Here it is with a 325 8pin tuned at 15800

As much as I love the 026, the 346 is a superior design for performance. The 026 cannot come anywhere near the cross sectional port area vs. displacement.

But for reliability and all day cutting, I'd still take a ported 026.

That's where the rubber meets the road. Putting wood on the ground is the only thing that matters.
