I love the velocity stack and K@N filter option.
I have them in a few saws.
They do make the saw louder at the user end though.

I have just fitted this max flow to my 064.
I had a buggered HD filter that I removed the filter material from, leaving just the plastic cage.
The max flow fits over it perfect.
I then cut a piece of 3mm thick Perspex and drilled it to hold a captive rear cover nut.

Will work great for bugger all cost.

Fired up the saw and its picked up a couple hundred rpm at idle over a clean HD2.

More air means more fuel means more power!

If a guy wanted to play with vstacks and air filters, you can get a vstack on ebay for scooters for about $7, but the inner hole needs to be made a bit larger. Piece of cake with a burr and sanding mandrel. And an aftermarket angled double foam filter with a fernco style connector is like $6. Works dandy on an 066

spot on!
Search Walbro velocity stack
They are made for 1/5 scale RC cars
just bore out the center to suit.

They usually came made to fit the carbs used on the 026 so the hole is small

I ordered a larger assortment of unifilters this time to hopefully offer some options for the different V stacks.
On the DRF255 026 I shortened the green weanie so it didn't stick up so far, the spring and foam can both be shortened easily.
I like it better without the AF cover and a lot more air than stock :)
