ring clamp set

I recently bought a couple of 50cc 346 p&cs and today I made one of my OEs into an NE.
I got to use my new ring clamp set and was that a joy, just set the piston down on the bar, put a clamp around the piston, lower the cyl to the piston, squeeze the clamp and push down the cyl, no floppy moving piston no pushing , poking at the ring. easy peasy me likey.

i got my set from northwood saw i think, same red plastic set ive seen elsewhere. $6 or 7 or something like that. works great

I got a red plastic one also, got it from performance outdoor equipment, I believe He's on the forum here.

I've seen the red plastic ones but wasn't sure if they would be durable or strong enough to get the job done.

I've used plastic zip ties before. They seem to work great.

I also bought a set of the red ones. They are great and very durable. Much faster than zip ties.

They are a great help for the cylinders that have no beveled lead in.

There is nothing that needs to be strong, just try one, You'll wonder why you didn't do it a long time ago.

I was going to order a set of those. I was putting a saw together and had to improvise so I had a piece of 1/2" steel banding laying there and used the old piston to get the shape I needed. It worked well enough I have not ordered any yet. A block of wood to hold the piston

I bought a set that came with several different sizes of the red clamps, a plastic piece to hold the piston, and two piston stops to aid in disassembly. All for around reasonably priced too. I'm digging it so far!

thats where it was that i got mine, now that ya mention it.

Red plastic ones are the ones I have and have used them for years........no worry about durability on tem. They are also strong enough to pull in any ring. If your like me you'll find the majority of time you only use 2 sizes of clams. I'd be lost with out them!!
