Pecan is a type of tree? or something else
Yes, pecan is a type of tree. It produces nuts called pecans. The nuts are very good and the wood is very popular for smoking meat. It is a decent firewood also. The nuts look like this:

We use fruit trees to smoke meat
We do too; but fruit tress are not near as abundant as nut trees. We have lots of pecan, hickory, white oak, and cherry (in some regions) for smoking meat. What little fruit trees we have are not normally available; not many people want you taking their fruit trees for cooking wood...

Be careful you don't scratch it. Awesome truck that shows how well it's been taken care of.

I saved it from the scrap yard. I got it for $200 from the guy who was going to scrap it. That was 14 years ago. We just replaced the head gasket. (One of the head bolts was broken, apparently since before I got it) I have done a little work on it, and it's time to do some more.

Did someone say honey? Got this load today with more to come. Homeowner said she is taking down the ad and letting me take my time to get the remainder. Just stinks that it's in the backyard with no access to it.

Unloaded yesterdays load and grabbed another smaller load today. I think the remaining will fit in one more load, I hope.🤞
