@Wood Doctor Got a locust score. Went with him to use my lift and get the big stuff. Not happy times when we got there and someone else was loading it. We got a little less than half of the trunk.
Did they have permission to nab up the locust?
I bet you felt like running them off!

Typical tree service around here. Their time is worth millions while yours is worthless. He was giving it to them to get it out while Edwin told him I was going to be there. I was walking away from the entire thing as I don't play that game. With the hours I put in at work my free time is valuable to me.

I wonder what kind of locust? It resembles silver maple and hickory, but doesn't quite look like either. Doesn't look like black or honey locust.

Honey Locust, I can't tell much difference between it and Black Locust.

Black has yellow wood, small thorns on the twigs, and bark that's like a cross between osage and cottonwood. Honey has big multi point thorns sometimes found all the way down the trunk, and large pink heart wood with a somewhat narrow band of white sap wood.

I should have said that I can't tell much difference in BTU's between them. Don't get a ton of either but I get 3-4 times more honey than black.
