That reminds of a story my dad told me. At the local flea market a guy had a basket of small toys he was selling for 25 cents each and someone grabs a toy and says "Would you take a nickel?" The seller takes the toy from the person's hand and proceeds to crush it with his foot while saying "Here's what I think of your 'nickel'."
Sounds like it was not worth a quarter either.

Well the 046 looked a little less minty in person but I bought it regardless. The saw was used by a professional as a work saw so it has a pinch of character to it, but aside from some paint chips on the front of the case it is pretty clean. I finally got a chance to run a tank through it today. The saw came with a 32" bar & full comp chain so I just ran that in some 26"-28" dry madrone logs. Boy is the 046 a torque-y sum-beach!! That saw would've gladly pulled me right into the kerf. If it pulls that hard in dead & dry hardwood then I can't wait to try it in something clean and green.IMG_20260120_191538569.jpgIMG_20260120_191445298.jpgIMG_20260120_191725519.jpgIMG_20260119_163332105.jpg

Make sure you get a screw in the top cover on the clutch side. Otherwise it will rattle and start a crack in the cover...
