I have to credit the thread title to Mastermind.
Here's a saw I rat rod'ed out of spare parts. Stihl 460 with or 044 tank. The tank fits, but I can't put a air filter cover on because the tank doesn't center on the crankcase. Hence the maxflow. It has a 32" bar on her. Cutting machine. Please share any saws you've scrapped back together.image.jpegimage.jpeg

Many of my saws are Frankensaws... I have noticed that when replacing crankcase halves, Husqvarna cases match up way better than Stihl halves. The Stihl crankcases can vary a good bit on the exact same model.

Should be able to run an 044/ms440 filter cover on that 460 with the 044 tank .
