There was an article in hot rod magazine where they took what they believed to be a 5.3 to 1200+ horse and almost a hundred dyno runs before having a failure, being a bent pushrod...it was then they discovered it was a 4.8.

A boosted 6.0ls is no joke! Go boost, get a cheap setup and put a good turbo on it, boost is far more gentle to engines than nitrous...I have damaged enough pistons to know

I converted my wife,shes from UT (up there) she appreciates grit's but still doesn't understand red eye gravy!?!! But unfortunately my father in law is not on board as of yet,and possibly never will be, he's 86 . Can't teach an old Yankee new tricks ...

A person that does not understand red-eye gravy is indeed -- in need of this cultural experience! I learned about that when knee high to a grass hopper. My granny was from the sand hills of SC. When I stayed with her on the weekend I woke up to country ham frying, country link sausage frying, the smell of home made biscuits in the oven, grits, and eggs any way you want them. Those were very good days for this guy! Thanks for the reminder!

After seeing you are from Kansas it reminded me of my friend from the NC mountains. He was travelling through to go back home. He asked the hostess that was supposed to seat both he and his wife in the restaurant: "Ma'am do you folks serve grits in here...?" She replied quickly -- "Sir we serve all kinds of people in here -- you come right on in! LOL!

When I went to trade school in PA I went to this little hole in the wall dinner one morning. I was so excited it looked like something back home and I was sure they'd have grits. So I asked the nice lady if she had grits today and when I got the look I knew the answer... so after the disappointment on the grits I turned to my last hope sweet tea maybe I still had a chance. She says oh yes sir we have sweet tea. I needless to say was so excited she's brings it out and I took a good long pull off that tea. Yeah good old Cool nestea with lemon WTF.
