Wishing I had put that shut off valve on my push mowers fuel line. Then I wouldn't be cleaning what looks like gelatin out of the carb.

YepI did it to my $150 riding mower. It was cheaper and faster than fixing the carburetor that leaks after I shut it off.

And full the crankcase with fuel!
Even after rebuilding the carb, it still leaked.
So I figured needle seat is damaged.
Dealer wants $125 for carb.
Paid $2 for a shut off valve.
Now if I can only remember to close it when I'm done
