I hit a goose once wiff a concrete truck.. Damn thing was flying at me on my side of da road. I let off the throttle, expecting the bird to crash thru my windshield(couldnt slam on da brakes, I had 10 yrds of wet wall mix on)...
Low enuff it slammed into da front bumper and exploded! Showed up at the jobsite with goose guts and goose crap ALL OVER da front of my truck!
Da whole wall crew died laughing when I told em what happened...

Nother time I was going around da curve just east of da plant(wiff another 10 yrds of wet wall mix).
Now there is water on each side of the road there, and cattails N fragmites too..
There must of been 3-4 prs of adult honkers and all their lil gooses just getting feathers.. They was trying to cross da rd.
ONCE AGAIN I LET OfF DA THROTTLE AND PLOWED THRU BOUT 30-40 GOOSES!!!!
I look in my mirrors and a couple ganders are screaming- bunch of em are flat as pavement-and a few cripples too.
Figure I will check for leg bands on my way back to the plant, farm I was going to is only a mile or so from da plant.

On my rewind to the plant I slow down with the curve coming up, only to discover the county hyway dept. came thru and shoveled em all up..
Bet they didnt even check for leg bands neither.

I have had a turkey buzzard wrapped around my catwalk when I got back to the plant.
Once I was pouring and a damn seagull came down the chute and ended up in the basement floor(never knew I hit that one).
Locked em up this morning (loaded of course) and just barely missed a fawn.
lil 4 wk old fawn did a faceplant on the blacktop trying to clear the roadside grass..
Hope it learned to stay out of the damn roads...
In 24 yrs in a mixer, Ive been there , poured that, fell in that, and drove over that!!!!
Including a car--of course it was a woman driving, sideways at me, on my side of the road.
Her insurance company contacted me and wanted to know what I wanted for pain and suffering..
I told the *pretty boy on the other end of the phone to take the money that they were gonna give me and use it to teach that dumb beotch how to drive.
Bet that went over like a roadkilled flock of geese.

Absolutely a dozer junks my back after a half hour haven't ran
Escavators much lately.
My friend chris a former logger
Heavy equipment operator now
Suffers with back and hip pain.
He has tried the inversion table
And other treatments nothing
Helps.

It's just jarring all damn day, and I'm a good operator. I never say I'm good at something, daddy always told me not to be a braggart, but I'm a smooth operator...and it just sucks.

It's just jarring all damn day, and I'm a good operator. I never say I'm good at something, daddy always told me not to be a braggart, but I'm a smooth operator...and it just sucks.

Sitting in a dump truck beats me everyday, air ride pshh...I'd rather be operating but do what I got to to be home every night. I find the smaller the excavator the bigger the beating

specially wiff my 265 air conditioning in a front discharge tank,, I mean mixer..
