Thanks for all the comments guys. While it is never easy to deal with, I suppose in retrospect we should all be fortunate enough to make it to 91. My Dad was 10 years older than her, but passed 16 years ago. She was never the same after that.

My younger Daughter came over this morning to scan some pics of my Mom, so I will share a few. The first two are from the early 1950s on LI beaches, the third one is one of my favorites of my folks from the 1960s.

Continuing in prayer for you and your family this morning sir.

Being in aviation, I have always thought the equipment, parts, and work performed would be of the highest caliber and standard.... until something comes up and proves me wrong. Random screw from the supplier...

White Pine is real "speed wood", but be careful of the sap buildup on your saw/bar/chain.

I also find Silver Maple to cut very fast, but with far less mess!

On the other end of the scale, Shag Bark Hickory seems to slow my saw more than any other wood, including Black Locust. Results may vary based on where it is grown, and I once encountered Black Locust that was grown in sandy soil … if you did not cut it to length the first day, you sharpened your chain every 3-4 cuts to get through it!

Dang it!
I forgot about the Black Friday 30% off deal on printer cartridges.

Well, maybe I won't forget about it next year.

If you buy a "farm and ranch saw", and you live on a farm or ranch, does that make it a "homeowner's saw"?

You should really by a "farm boss" saw that way you can be the BOSS instead of a flunky out at the barn. But I like the idea better of "farm and ranch" -- the connotation may be
livestock, and farming on one side, hunting and fishing lodge. Even though I have not figure out how the saw can make it all happen. I may be corn-fused. :cunaooooo:

Well, the "farm boss" thing worked out pretty well, so I bought a "Pro" saw, but here I am over a decade later and I'm still leaving stumps that scream "amateur".
