Why does each and every Seagate Barracuda desktop hard disk have reallocated bad sectors, no matter how little or much "Power On Hours" the disks have on them, no matter what capacity the disks feature and no matter what history the desktop PC's have?!

For comparison, numerous Hitachi and Western Digital hard drives check out perfectly fine with no mayor error reports.
Also, a Samsung 830 256GB SSD (Solid State Disk) with 14753 Power On Hours (614 days continuos power on) and 20126GB of total host writes checked out "good" at 90% health.

Why are the Seagate HDD's error prone?

I know the feeling, one of my external Seagate USB drives full of data just crapped out on me from one day to the other.

I own a second external Seagate drive, never know whether it will just refuse to boot up.

I just flashed/updated the motherboard BIOS on one of my desktop PC's - always gives me tingles being uncertain whether the PC will boot up after the update.

The shop called today, they should have the fuel hose for my modded 029 in early next week. The wife took the call, then asked me if that was the big saw. I said it was the middle saw.

"Middle saw? how may saws do you have?" "Three, I said" - Pause, then, "why do you need three saws?" - "Different jobs, different size wood, it's a guy thing"

Thankfully, she shrugged her shoulders and we got on to feeding the donkeys. Realistically at my age, I could get by with just a modded 50cc saw and an 18" bar. Don't let her know...

The search function doesn't seem to work well here. Days ago I searched "dyno" (titles only) and got several results. I tried again today and got 3, repeated the search and got 5 results. In the past I've had a hard time finding threads I knew existed through the search as if it has a super short time limit for searching and can't finish before it must display results.

I just lost my College freshman roommate to COVID. Dude was a world class athlete back then...no known vices...59 yrs old, a perfect gentleman from Cedar Buff, AL.
