August 2015, Sleeping Bear Dunes Mi.

That was another neat place
Looks like a nice storm coming in.
We stayed at dunes harbor campground last spring and fall, 25 a night early and late season and it was built a couple yrs ago, everything is like new. The kids had a great time and I bought a few decent fish on the lake by the campground. For the guys heading to silver lake they could drive to the dunes as there are some trails.
We plan on going up there this spring too.

Baltimore County Fire Department
On February 16 crews from Edgemere, Eastview and North Point-Edgemere VFD rescued a man stuck in a tree in the 7200 block of Waldman Ave., 21219. The man was 24 feet above the ground in a polyethylene drum; he and his brother were trying to remove the tree when the cable used to move the drum became stuck in a tree branch. Crews used a rigging system to lower him to the ground. -- and suggested a licensed professional to handle such a dangerous job. #livingtoserve #allinadayswork EA
That reminds me of this one.
I've had a a ladder in the bucket of my tractor quite a few times Not with someone running it though), gotta do what you gotta do, just hope the fire dept. doesn't ever need to come help me out .

Anybody recommend a good set of airbags for a 2016 F-350? Gets a little saggy when I’m pulling more than 10,000 lbs...

Air-lift.

They do put the *s-wordtiest of tires on new trucks. My brothers Ram got 13,000 out of the factory tires.... and the steel was showing through.

I have Duratrac's on one of my trucks. I have gotten decent life out of them.
The factory GM 17" Bridgestone Duravis is also a good tire. I have seen those go 50K+ on trucks that tow regularly.
The Goodyear Wrangler SR-A wear ok, but suck balls in snow. Big time.
Once a guy starts hauling heavy stuff, tire life suffers.

Equalizer hitch helps.

That truck and trailer are more than 10k lbs???? I wouldn't think a 1 ton would sag that much with what you are pulling. Maybe it is the lift kit causing the sag.

Newer trucks have much softer springs than older trucks. My ‘88 F-350 and my ‘80 K-30 would hold more weight, and sag less, than my ‘06 Ram or this truck... but they both rode horribly. This truck does have a 2 1/2” ‘leveling kit’ in the front, and a 1” lift in the rear, so that does contribute to the overall saggy ass end look of the truck, as well.

My dad built that trailer, and it is well over 3000 lbs (weighed on a certified scale), plus all the gear (chains, binders, straps, etc.), and that is a ‘96 F-350 PSD with about 1/4 cord of oak in the back, plus winch and chainsaws/tools. It’s at least 10,000 lbs the way it’s sitting in the picture.

I live in the mountains, and we have windy roads. I cant imagine ever getting 50k out of any tire. I have stretched a set out to 20k, but that was really pushing it. Last set of tires I put on my Ram were 50,000 mile warranty, and I got 13,000+ miles out of them.

I will look into the airlift bags.

My cousin has the Firestone bags on her F-350.
She has reported no issues to me. She lives near San Fran, and bought property in Montana, and pulls her horse trailer between there regularly.

I just need to get around to ordering a kit for my Dad's truck, as he wanted a bit more support when hitting rough chit with his 5th wheel. They travel all over the place, so eventually rough roads happen.

You are putting E-range tires on, correct?
I put a set of D range on my first 3/4 ton because they were discontinued (Goodyear Wrangler TD) and dirt cheap.
They lasted 14K.

Yes I always run load range E tires. Last set I bought solely for the 50,000 mile warranty... after they prorated them, the next set was $400 OTD. $400 a year I can deal with.

It looks like someone tried to kill it with fire and failed?
You should have dragged that bad boy home.

That is what you would call "stealth mode" any time you see a rattle can flat black vehicle in east Topeka it's been occupied by a tweeker.

And it's right across the street from the scrap yard so me thinks they didnt have a title and just left it there.

Probably spot on with that assessment.

Rattle can flat black vehicles around here mean it has been occupied by someone with carnal knowledge of a farm animal.
Or some innocent furry woodland creature.
