I had one kick my ass overheating about 6 years ago. Thats what was wrong with it..
First one I had whupped up on me too.
This one was worse.
Towed in. Coolant leak and overheats.
Pressure test. Radiator leaks. Bad.
Put a radiator in.
Still overheats. Verify chain is there.
Call customer to get authorization for a t-stat.
She says, my brother just put one in, but ot was a cheap autozone one.
Replace thermostat.
Still overheats.
Thats when she finally said "It was leaking coolant so my brother put in a thermostat. It didnt fix the leak, so he put in some stop leak. 2 miles later, it overheated"...
Fook me.

They are going to work on it in stages, can’t cut it all down, that could brake the law, any coastal area in Oregon is protected, and I can’t remember if it’s 50’ of 75’ off the non-aquatic vegetation line, this house is grand fathered in, but I doubt that they can actually cut any thing that is alive, and probably have to have an official look at each tree before they are cut! Oregon rulesHow long before they have those trees removed?
I’m not surprised. I’ve seen that sort of thing before.View attachment 166863 under the heading WTF! Attic access in my son's house. Gas line directly across the opening right in the middle of it. Less than a foot on each side to get in the attic. F'ing rocket scientist.
