I bid the job with and without removing the rootball. If I need to move it, I'll bring a set of forks for the Bobcat 873 and poke at it quite a bit to knock as much dirt as possible off of it. Then I'll load it on my equipment trailer and dump it somewhere on my property. I've actually been able to burn root balls like this if there's enough other stuff to burn with it...That's a big stump to get rid of ,does the landfill take stuff like that in your area ? or do you need to get the dirt out and chip it up ?
You didn't put that stump on the low boy with that little track hoe did you? I'm thinking a pretty good size excavator to lift one of those...
yes.Demolished buildings?
Is this insurance work?
Looks like the one standing behind it is deadHere's a pic from the top end. One of the buildings that got flattened isn't even visible in the pic.

Man,that's a good question. I whittled on it until it no longer lifted the rear tires of that machine. I'm going to say more than 7000. In that pic you can see the rear downrigger getting a little air.what do you think that stump weighed? Maybe 7000 lbs or so?
I wouldn't touch that one. It would need a bucket truck. While looking at the downed tree, there was a vulture perched in the dead oak. When it took flight, it broke off the branch it was resting on.Looks like the one standing behind it is dead
It's a good log but it's a "yard tree" so there's almost certainly metal in it.Looks like that trunk is straight enough to mill.
