IMG_20160807_011245385_HDR.jpg I bought a kit for my 395xp and the metering diaphragm that came in the kit does not have the part that hooks into the metering lever. It just has the flat part. The lever that came in the kit has he groove in it for it to hook into. Is this a screw up? I am assuming that it is. Pic for clarity.

It's not really a screw-up so much as it's differences in brands or in the series number of carb kits. Was it a Walbro brand kit that you bought?

Proven part. I have used their stuff before and have never had anything seem off at all before. Is it an issue? Seems to me they went through all of that trouble for a reason. How much will it affect the saw, or will it?

Either diaphragm works fine. The reason I asked about the brand is that the Rotary brand diaphragms in the Rotary kits meant to replace K10-WJ are like the one on the right.

So if the meter lever has forks to hook into diafram. The new one in pic would still work?
