I found my father's 2900 in his shop yesterday. This saw was the one he bought and cleared our property with 20 years ago. The saw wasn't ran much after than and is in pretty good condition. I would like to get this saw running again. It started with a little fuel in the carb. I'd like to get a 16" bar as the 20" is too much. My father passed away last August so it would mean alot to keep this saw. I ordered a carb kit for it and picked up a fuel line and filter. Anyone know right offhand the bar and chain I'd need for this saw. Any info would be great!

Takes a K041 mount bar and more than likely 325 pitch chain

Thank you guys. I figure it'll make a decent small saw. Anyone have experience with them?

I also have two of them, I put a lot of work in one of them last winter, I raised the comp from 138 to 164, did some porting & piston work and using a 14" bar & stihl PS chain it is pretty fast. I like em stock too.
I had to change the sprocket for low pro chain, they do come with .325 chain.

I have the "pro" model ;) PP295. For what it is its a pretty decent little saw, 46cc's of screaming fury! Mine came with a 20" bar and I was surprised how well it handled it but it runs so much better with a 16". I also have a couple spare motors for it to try some porting and see what I can screw up... I mean learn ;)
