Well, not a tool, but a item heavily utilized by the German working men back in the olden days.

A "Henkelmann" - a thermos can for keeping food hot/cold.

Is DR Zimmerman the manufacturer? A couple of my school students are Zimmermans of German descent.

"Rotpunkt" is the brand, "Henkelmann" is just nickname the container got by the work class.

It’s made in Germany. Does not say west Germany but it’s old. Came from a Korea war veteran. I’m not sure how old it is.

I did a little research today. Looks like this tool company was in business from 1929 until 1977. Either way it has a few years on it. Great shape considering its age. A couple of better pictures. IMG_3245.jpegIMG_3244.jpeg
