That’s a 201t jug. Parts abound, but they are funky.

I hear you on keeping to a limited number of saw models. Being a tree guy, I’m neck deep in top handles so 201t is in the list. Working around that transfer nipple is a unique challenge.
Working around nice nipples is a good challenge, ymmv.

How do like your modded 201T vs a muff mod only 200T?

I prefer 201t with basic mods. It pulls the 16” better.

I also have a fully ported 201t and 200t. 201t has more torque, 200t is more fun.

My best guess is they create a pressure differential that causes more flow at the back of the tunnels and top of the uppers. They come stock. I just put them back after dropping the jug. Tempted to gut them but haven’t felt like risking the $90.

Again... not my art but I'm fixing it.

Very hard to say what the problem was with the ring pin being pushed out. I have a very good idea of what might have caused it. The intake port was flat on the roof with no bevel, now fixed, but is still tilted the wrong way on the bottom imo. The top was worse before fixing it.

Exhaust had potholes in the step. Took most of them out and removed the high spots in both ports. Using a ring to show the arch. Very hard to see. Added a slight bit more arch to the exhaust roof with no big change but the angled port roof like the intake was and still is on the bottom. The file marks in the intake port leaves me a reference point to remove the high spots.

The transfers have ripples in the exit points and that screws up the flow a tad. Started to knock them down with a stone. Need to get out the right angle and finish some spots right there at the exit.

Someone needed a port job it's ruffed in tomorrow I'll finish it up. OEM Stihl ms660 I pushed the exhaust port as wide as I could need to polish port still lower transfer's I'm leaving as they are now. Haven't decided if I'm going to jb weld the intake yet might see how it runs and go from there.IMG_20200323_112509.jpg IMG_20200323_112538.jpg IMG_20200323_112557.jpg IMG_20200323_112628.jpg

I polished the shinny spots with 320 dry by hand to show the old grinder marks. I took the intake port down to, to find *s-word all in there. Textured finish hid all that washboard crap. Used a file to tame the ocean under the carbon and crud.
It should run good. Time will tell if the transfers injest exhaust or not. Polished the lower turns t ok see what it looks like next time.
Added small bevels then sanded them in. Had really work on the exhaust floor step and the non existing bevel there. Good arch though.

I'm surprised not one person has mention all the transfer on the cylinder walls. It tightens up the motor to almost nothing with a fresh piston installed. It's a recipe for disaster if not removed. Notice the lower areas I hit with a Scotch Brite wet and soaped up.
