Possibly the longest burning hard wood

I think this stuff could be the longest burning hard wood. 3 drawbacks, 1) it’s really heavy 2) does not want to split 3) it seems impossible to get burning.

Petrified wood. Probably seasoned a few thousand years.

Maybe not so long. You know the eruption of Mt. St. Helens in the early 80's? It looks like it needs no long Time, but a cataclysmic event.
There are lot of Trees that are petrified on this event.

Never been able to get any heat trying to burn rocks in my OWB. Any tips?
