I might be twenty pages late - but I own, and earn money with a 562 that terry ported a top end for.
I ran the saw stock, and after installing his cylinder and piston.
Terry gave full instructions for clearancing the cases for the transfer covers (and maybe elsewhere - it was nearly a couple of years ago)

At the time I had a 359 aswell that I ported myself and was a better saw than the stock 562.

I sold the 359, and kept the 562.

I've learned a bit more since then, but I'm not sure I could build a 60cc saw that pulls a full comp 24" in Aussie hardwood like my 562. I sure got $300 worth.

That's what I was "sort of" referring to..
All the *B-S.... aside, the "minimalist" 562 recipe he's got f'ing works...
Like it, don't like it, don't matter..
It's the results that matter.
That and the 562 is just a fantastic saw..
Minus the stupid outboard clutch...
I hate that damn thing.

Love my WWS 562xp and feel comfortable Terry will stand behind it if that ever changes as we discussed this prior to my purchase.

The 250-300 fee is not measured by "how much work the builder has to do" but by the "result/performance"
I don't particularly care for the title of this thread. It's not a question, it's a statement. It's a leading statement that causes people to immediately draw conclusions and gather the lynch mob. Pages and pages of speculation and blanket statements made, before the accused (TL) got to explain the history of this saw. Once something is seen, how can it be unseen? Throughout the thread questions have been interjected and remarks made to "soften" the blow done to Terry's reputation by the thread. That said, the damage to TL as a dealer and builder has already been done. Ive done numerous deals with Terry, and have always been treated squarely. And Ive met him face to face, and Im confident in my opinion of him. Im sure he would have continued to work with the owner to make it right. Maybe I missed it but who is the owner of the saw? Why would they trade a $1000 saw for a $500 one?

Give me a little time. I'll knock the shine off. I got 40 year old Windsors that were my Dad's I still use.

Copy that, I believe you will.

Now, if I see you on the classifieds sending PMs on NOS plastics, well, I'll know for sure then.............:devil2:

Cool you still have pop's gear out there putting wood on the ground.
