Pictures are flipped...Aftermarket el42 is only .020" larger. 😕 Outlets are the same(0.680")..haven't measured the venturi yet. Anyone know what the dimensions of a real Zama EL42 are

EDIT It appears the .020" difference is due to sloppy tolerances. Choke plates are the same.

Is this another case of one size fits all Chinese junk? Maybe the el42 has better fueling? What am I missing here?

I’ve seen some Chinese 357 carbs that were actually to el42/walbro 199 specs, but didn’t get the name. Most of them will say EL42 or 199 replacement, but they actually have the same venturi and butterfly openings as the 346 carbs
Looks this is the case. Well, hmmm...back to Scamazon it goes.

Well, overall I'm quite pleased with the performance of this little Husky 350. It's substantially stronger than stock. I reckon it's done for now.

Thank you guys for all the input, help and shared knowledge concerning this build. I really appreciate it. Cheers 🍻

The Dude abides! Now you can relax, have a white russian, maybe take in a game of bowling later.
