Wow that's harsh
Yes but its funny we are all debating which is better, the latest and greatest husky available or a 20 year old designed saw. To even be able to compare the two is a true testament to the greatness of the 262. If the av, fuel consuption, ease of starting and whatever else isnt superior on the 562 then Husqy has failed. Old muscle car vs new "muscle car". Both great saws just boils down to preference imo.Sometimes the truth hurts!

Listen to Ryan ,he has tried almost every saw under the moon ,and knows his stuff .
I think the real question is, what will the op do with the saw? Are you using the saw everyday? Or is it a firewood/ hobby saw? I ran my FIL's stock 262 and it was ok. The 262 I ported for the @hoskavarna raffle however, wow! Like @drf255 said, they outperform a stock 460 and they are much lighter and nimbler. I've got one coming for myself!

Here are the Dyno runs. When you guys say outperform what size bar is that with in what size wood ?..i dont follow this stuff all that well sometimes.
True! But I don't like anything bigger than 20" on a stock 460, so a 20 in the 262 ported is the cats meow for me! And my 460 just got ported by @jmssaws and will wear a 25".I get this now..sorta.
But , with the power increse , it doesnt make up for bigger clutch/AV/ ability to oil etc etc as opposed to a 460 of ypu were usin big bars..id like to see the dyno against a 562 just for kicks..id still use a 562 for workin no matter what just because of its features...thats a neat gizmo you guys have there.
