New 026 Hyway top end came with a plug to take the place of the decomp button. It has a nice washer on it but what else should be done as far as a sealant?

Nothing the washer works like the one on your spark plug. I like the plugs instead of the decomp. No chance of leaking.

I pressure tested in water and was getting a bubble from around the plug every 2 seconds. This is with 5-10lbs of air. That's as hand tight as I care to go. I don't like this.

Went from compressor line to mityvac plus one last check with a socket. Now there's no bubbles.

A little tiny leak like that wouldn't hurt a thing. I've had spark plugs leak like crazy and the saw ran like a champ. Weather it's good for the saw or not I don't know, but it seems to have no affect on performance. Heck I have a saw that ran better with a loose spark plug than it did with a tight one. haha!
