Gentlemen..........gona have me a bowl of Country Squire Shepherds Pie today. First bowl, or cigar in almost a couple weeks, minus my cigarillo night caps. Been hammering the gravel bike pretty hard and haven't had a ton of desire.

Sweet! I haven’t much felt like a pipe in a couple weeks now here too. When it gets too hot outside I typically just have no interest.

I'm the same way. Summertime heat takes the joy out of lots of things for me. Most can't wait for summer, but I like it cold.

We've actually had a mild June, compared to normal years. I reckon it's because we've been getting some rain for the past 2 months, which is unusually late for our spring rains. Figured I better be getting in some more rides before the heat does hit us.

This was another fantastic blend. Country Squire blends are gona be a go to for me. Very nice and smooth. One thing I'm really liking about the pipes, is the lack of harshness, like some cigars have on my throat. Even if it's a good cigar, with good flavor and everything, they'll sometimes make my throat feel rough. I haven't had any of that with pipes.

It’s been mostly mild but dry here, but heck working out in the sun even 80 feels pretty hot. Yeah pipe smoking is generally more mellow. You’ll run into some blends with some rough edges sometimes but you’ve been smoking the good stuff so far. Kentucky dark fired and some burley can get a little harsh if pushed.

I'll put that on the list. Thanks for the recommendation Sir!

I really dig that pipe! I like that a fella can change the bowls on it. That's pretty slick. 👍🏻
You can still get them new. They are pretty cool in a steampunk sort of way. Also a cool smoker. Probably one of the driest pipes you’ll smoke. They have this little moisture well below the bowl you can put a small piece of pipe cleaner in.IMG_3102.jpeg

I think I paid around 50 for the meerschaum bowl. The regular briar bowls are in the 30 range. I got both the pipe (used and cheap) and bowl off eBay. One thing to note the older pipes will take a new bowl but a brand new falcon pipe won’t take old bowls.

Had to knock off early because of the heat today. Seattle pipe club Deception Pass in my new to me Kiko African meerschaum. Tangy Virginia and spicy peppery perique in this blend. Yum. @cuinrearview you'd enjoy this style pipe tobacco. Its like a good sour beer and a fine cigar wrapped up into a pipe.IMG_3104.jpeg

The Meers are a cooler cleaner smoke. They usually won’t ghost (although someone had smoked Lakeland in this one and it took a lot of tlc to get rid of that flowery stench).

Evening fellas.

Decided to have me a bowl of G.L. Pease Virginia Cream, in the Viking, courtesy of @Woodpecker. Another fantastic blend. Thanks again fella. This will be added to the list to purchase as well. Smoked it while listening to Dr. Alan (The Pipe Cottage) on YouTube.

That was a very smooth, sweet and chocolatey, creamy tasting blend with a bit of spice every now and again. Not bad at all. I really liked it. It's definitely going on the list. Thanks Brad. I owe ya.

I had to laugh. I went to tobacco reviews and read the description and the reviews and the first review, the guy pointed out 38 different flavors he apparently tasted between the 4 different tobaccos. Dude either has a super palate, or he's full of *s-word. I know my palate doesn't pick up a ton of flavors, with pipe tobacco, or cigars, but dang, how could a person pick up 38 flavors in 1 blend? 😂

Reminds me of a guy I used to know, that we called "Topper". No matter the situation, he just had to one up everyone. That reviewer had to cover every flavor imaginable, just so no one could out taste him. 😂
