I picked up a new bar a while back tried to put it on yesterday and there is 2 or 3 spots the bar is pinched so the chain is tight there. What do you guys use to spread your pinched bars? Thanks

Place a flat washer the appropriate thickness in the bar grove and tap it down the length of the bar with a hammer. May have to do this several times with a couple different flat washers of varied thickness till the rails have opened just enough.

I have used .045 thick cutoff wheels on an angle grinder before. It takes a steady hand and very light pressure but it is a very quick fix.

Is it the grey bar or the shiney silver bar?
Any photos?

*s-word. Hopefully you can fix it. They are real nice bars.

I agree with an earlier comment to grind it rather than pry it too much, maybe a little but I'd prefer to remove a bit of metal to get the groove straight than have it not for the sake of 30 seconds

Running a couple cuts with a slightly loose chain will have it running smooth and it won't wear more material away than necessary like a grinder will.
A large flathead screwdriver is probably the best way unless you have the factory rail dressing tools. Taking material away by sanding or running it that way will make those spots thinner and wear much faster.
