Pics of homemade chainsaw mills

I am looking to make a chainsaw mill so I`d like to see some of the ways you have made them. Looking to make one that will take a 20"-32" bar. Any detailed pics would be much appreciated!

Easiest way is threaded rod thru the bar with a flat board on top with nuts on top and bottom for adjusting.

Most crudely made mill I've seen are panther mill 2. The are steel made and would be easiest to replicate

@czar800 that`d be great. Afterall, it was your thread the other day that prompted me to want to do this. Your build seemed simple enough to build but yet strong enough to last. @dall I hope you can weld better than I can. Ever hear of gorilla welding?? lol

In the electrical section of hardware stores they sell this metal with holes in it ,you can bolt a mill together ,and use redi rod to adjust the thickness of the boards .

Looks good. I already have some strut in a scrape pile. By the way, strut is not strong enough to hold a 35 gallon deer feeder 20' in the air. Don`t ask how I know.

I seriously welded it up in about in a few hours. I didn't follow any plans at all I just mounted the bar on the saw and build it to what I thought would work.

There's a few drawbacks to the way I build it. One size only... it's welded So it will not adjust for other size of bars and the handles don't move.

There's definitely a few things I feel are a must like extra piece that I am pointing to with the wrench. It really gives the mill stability when you start your next cut without your rails. I added it after a few test cuts I also add the second handle were I felt like I liked my hand. it's the one towards the tip.

I was planning on making fancy measuring/lifting mechanism, but decided to keep it simple….OK I got lazy! I just loosen the two bolts drop the mill down on pre-measured blocks.
I put string between them so they don't get lost in all the sawdust.

Nice set up! What saw is that on and how much does your mill weigh m

It's on my 660, I milled with a 046 before I got the 660. The 046 did OK keep your chain sharp. I have no idea how much it weighs.
