The old one was seized, but I believe he changed over to .404 when he put the new tip on.

Please tell me the sp80 is wearing a goinwheelin spike now. Seeing those two makes me think spikes are wear parts a la sprockets, and the tiny one is worn out and needs to be replaced.

Can any of you guys tell me where to get a set of dawgs for a 555/2260, I know guys were having trouble getting them every time they ordered for a 555/2260 they ended up with 562 sets.. which didn't work on the small mounts, they look the same but the mounting holes on the clutch cover were different.

View attachment 252108This saw was run over by a skid loader. You would not have wanted to see it after that happened. Somehow the case survived. Not much else did. I brought that and the rest of it back to life -- a resurrection.

I’m doing the same thing. I have two of them.

One is severely damaged by skidder and the other which is spinning the dyno has a tree fall on it when logger cut through the hinge.

That last Pic could be a hopeless case because the case is history. Both of mine at least had a rotating crank shaft. The third Pic shows the worst damage to a saw that I have ever seen.

I tore the saw down. If it wasn’t for a broken gas tank, impulse line and a bent out of shape coil, that saw could’ve ran like that.

The cylinder and case halves are still sealed even though the case halves are also broken beyond use.

That's the ticket for smooth bark , I've heard.

That's the ticket for smooth bark , I've heard.

They feel it allows the saw to go across the bark easier without having to pull the saw back to move it while the spikes are digging in.
