I would suggest adding more stickers and painting the ends to prevent checking.
Yes and yes. BTW, I Anchor Seal the ends of the logs as soon as I buck them. It dries clear/translucent so you can't see it in the pictures. I try to run stickers every 18-24" as in the small stack in the picture below. Not my first rodeo. I've made at least 20 MBF of lumber off my property over the last 15 years. My system works and I get very flat and stable lumber in the end.

What is your drying process? I cant get below 12% stacked under tin outside.

What species and where are you located? Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC) is dependent upon the relative humidity. Where I live, just north of Baltimore, Red Oak will not dry below 10% outdoors. 12% might be all you can get without a kiln of sorts.
There was a USFS paper out there listing species and expected EMC based on location. If I find it, I’ll post it.

That's about the limit for air-dried here, too. Beyond that, I send it to a kiln to finish to 6-8%, if it will be used inside for flooring, furniture, cabinets, etc. Some day, I want to build a solar kiln, so I can do it all myself.

Solar kiln is on my short list.
I have a walk in cooler in pieces someone gave me. I am considering using the panels for a kiln enclosure. The foam may not be up to the potential heat come summer but at zero dollars I wont have much to lose in trying it out.
Thanks for the share, Eduardo. A good deal of information there.
I myself am drying Sugar Maple and Cherry mostly slabs at 2" and 5/4 boards.

I think there is a USFS doc more specific to species EMC, ambient temp, and relative humidity out there. I can’t seem to find it.
I have some 5/4 cherry that’s been stickered for almost a year. I need to stick it with a moisture meter to see where it is.
