Permatex 518 Clean-up

I've used 518 to put cylinders on but this is the 1st time I've taken one off. Boy, this stuff holds on! Hows the best way to clean the cured stuff off the cylinder and case?

Wipe it off with a clean rag, then hit the area with some carb cleaner and the same rag
