I am running this chain on an Echo CS-361P. As a side note, this is an awesome little saw that was a real steal during Echo Customer Appreciation days at 20% off. :)

Oregon 91PXL is ok chain but, nothing to get excited about. In the loops I have, chain life is inconsistent and not what it should be. As a 36cc saw, I don't expect it cut like a big saw but I do expect that chain to last and cut cleanly. I am suspicious that I have an issue that may be fixable with sharpening but, I also don't need nor want safety chain as I am not working suspended on ropes in a tree nor jabbing the bar into a pile of branches and trunks.

What other good '50' gauge 3/8LP 'Picco" chain options do I have? Does anyone make 57 link 63PS Stihl chains? What else should I try?

TIA,
Sid

I use 91vxl on my 361p and am happy with the performance.

The pxl cut pretty well for me. The vxl seems a bit more aggressive and better at bore cutting. But I have not used the 361p a lot yet, it is a new saw. So I can't say I have extensive experience here. I did just go down and look at the pxl and vxl chains and it does look like the cutters are the same, maybe the top plate on the vxl is slightly wider, hard to tell with my eyes. But my guess is that pxl is vxl with bumper links.
