Picked this up at a flea market Sunday.
Not sure what it's off of. Old Sears engine by Briggs. Had spark so I thought, what the heck, and bought it.
I like old engines. Dated the numbers on it. Manufactured May, 1934 by sources I found.
Heavy bugger. Almost 100 pounds.

Yeah, I believe it's Jacobson with a Briggs engine.

I'd be interested in what numbers are on that engine.

Eddleman Mower
I started out mowing with one of these. They were made just up the road from where I live. This is a self propelled model.
I believe they could double as a small bush hog -- needless to say I gapped a few places in the yards I mowed as a young man
till I was able to get a more suitable mower for me at the time.

I'm lovin' these pics and stories. Man, lawn mowers in general are so boring and clone-like today. Heck, MTD makes nearly all of them anyway. I have a mid-2000's LB Silver Series self propelled 21" with Tecumseh 5hp. Even though it is a steel deck 4 stroke it is at least unmistakeably a Lawn Boy with it's stagger deck, bagging cover up front, and big wheels in the back. Cuts really nice too. The current LB mowers could belong to a dozen other brands, just change the paint and name.
