Cunningham got in serious trouble for cloning Briggs and Stratton back in the 1940s. Is all I know. Plan on restoring this one this summer. It is the only one I have ever seen.

Thought I wouldDSCF2118.JPG DSCF2119.JPG DSCF2122.JPG DSCF2123.JPG DSCF2120.JPG show a little History.

Years ago when I was a boy in Pa, me and a friend name Dan Boone we use to call him turtle had a lawn care service and this is what we used. LOL. The mower Dan used, and the edge trimmer I used. They are both made by Pennsylvania Iron Works established in 1886. If anyone is interested I have a lot more and can show as we go. I am trying to collect one old OPE from each state. If anyone has something unique from there state that wants to sell let me know. Thanks.

That is cool. Are you going to spruce it up as a daily runner? They are well sought after.

Runs and cuts just fine. Minor issue with the handle mounts being wallered out, but easy fix. Actually a friend of mine saw it and had to have it. Going to get boxed up and shipped to Arizona.

Gee, I have one of those but it's my NEW mower compared to my Lawnboy. It's basically a commercial mower except for the plastic wheels. It has the Kawasaki engine with oil pump and filter.

Keep an eye on the handlebar mount on the aluminum deck body. If they are even a little loose they vibrate and wallow out the mount hole in the aluminum. The front wheels can do the same.

Seems to be a pretty darn good mower. Just wish it was self propelled as my broken arse can’t push a mower anymore.

Thanks for the advise, this has been the best mower I've ever had, by far, and I've had a bunch of different types over the last 48 years. Mom had me mowing at 7 years old (push mower) and I have never looked back. It's good for a kid to learn early so doing work becomes part of life. If you wait until a kid is a teenager, they tend to view work as a chore and hate it.
