For those of you that live quite a distance away and don't have a relative that lives nearby, there are a bunch of hotels. From the west Norwalk, Ohio is @25 minutes away. Couple choices. Best Western 351 Milan Ave. Norwalk, Ohio 419-663-3501. A little cheaper. Norwalk Inn. 283 Benedict Ave, Norwalk, Ohio. 419-668-8255.
If your coming from the south Ashland is @35 minutes away. Alot of choices. Examples. Holiday inn Express 1392 Enterprise pky. Ashland, Ohio 419-281-2900. Cheaper option. Motel 6 1423 Montgomery Road Ashland, Ohio. 419-496-0377

Going to order cants this week. I need to get a rough estimate of whose coming and what size saws you all plan on running. This isn't written in stone, but if your pretty sure your going to make it to the gtg, let me know. Thx

Planning on starting a little before lunch time. 11 ish. That should allow guys making the drive that morning time to get here. I'm thinking 12- 8x8 x10' cants and 6-10x10 x10 ' cants will do it. I've got a local sawmill in the loop on it and just gotta get with him on total # soon. I don't have a PayPal and I'm totally fine with passing a hat at the GTG to help with the cost of the cants. Looks like at least 25 guys coming and potentially up to 30 some that will be racing. I'm super excited to be hosting such a great event.

I'd love to make it but birthday party is what I'll be doing. I've missed over half the kids birthdays so far working so playing and missing one wouldn't go over well. I do hope to send a saw or 2 for perspective.
