Well that explains why you haven't heard of Hole

What about adding some ATF to the bar oil?
I’ve done it before with summer bar oil when using it in the winter.

I used a little kerosene in the bar oil to thin it out .

Canola oil will freeze and anything with water will freeze in a matter of minutes. I’ll try the ATF and see what happens.

How cold is it where you are? I'd definitely try ATF, if nothing then just a few drops of Dawn perhaps?

Anyone ever try Murphy's oil soap? That stuff is slippery as ice. It's used for applications in tire mounting and removal as a bead applier/breaker, but idk about saws.
