Quit work early for the day. -38°C and the damn chain oil doesn’t want to pour, taking forever to fill the saw. Need to figure out a way to keep it a little warmer as the temps are suppose to be fairly low for the next week. A guy can only take so much lol

Try a black container if you have any sun around there.
Just put it by the fire the night before and wrap the jug in an old coat as you head out.

I add a little diesel fuel to mine. Helps with sap too, but at -40 the diesel will probably gel too.

What about adding some ATF to the bar oil?
I’ve done it before with summer bar oil when using it in the winter.

I may try that, I’m sure I can find some kicking around here. Gets frustrating when it takes 10-15min to try and fill your oil tank.

I’ve done it before with summer bar oil when using it in the winter.
I cut the bar oil with hydraulic fluid does good.

I've used canola oil with great success. Some don't recommend it as it gums up but I haven't had that issue yet. Maybe add some ATF or a bit of Dawn and water?
