It's a gooseneck, but I mostly do bumper hitch towing. Thank you for the kind words about the truck. I'm only the 3rd owner of it.

Nice! And you are welcome. I want a truck like that. OBS' are my favorite and the 7.3 is the best diesel engine ever produced. [emoji41] Enjoy that truck!

My thoughts exactly. My cylinder is in great shape.
Mine is supposed to be too.

Availability of 395 parts, Husqvarna has a kit that's fairly affordable. If you have everything you need for your 394 then not much to worry over, quad ports and a boot for less vibes/heat to the carbeltater is about it.

Boot vs intake block, quads vs duals is about it. I prefer the good old 394, blocked some big ass maple with mine today.
Ok. This was pretty much what I had read. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an opportunity before I started ordering parts.

Stock the 395 has better acceleration and top end, but the 394 is better down low and runs a longer bar with more authority in my experience.

When modded (by someone with a good recipe), the 395 really shines. I've built a couple modded 394s that were real brutes though. One had an
Ace Morgan cylinder on it with a new Meteor piston and rings and an RWJ-4 carb. I installed a pulse nipple in the intake block.
All I need it to do is pull and oil a 36" on a mill, which from what I've read it should do without issue. I'll probably do the simple little mods but mostly just a complete overhaul with OEM stuff before I send it to work. I have been told that opening the stock muffler is a must.
