Had to go to the local social security office today. There was an issue with our health insurance. Always the funnest place to be on a Monday morning...not. At least the lady was helpful.

Been working on the Polaris ranger today.
Putting new u-joints in prop shaft
Had to take the skid plate off then take bolts off that hold front diff to slide it forward to slide it off the splines. Dam thing won’t come out.
Got on utube to get help
Have to take out radiator to get front diff out then pull the shaft out the front thru a small square hole.
I don’t think so

There was a 8in cross member keeping it from dropping out the bottom
It got cut off and welded plates back on it to bolt it back on. Dam engineers

All day and its ready to go back together.

I was able to change one out on one
With me on the ground.
And the floor pan panel removed
And the screaming drunk owner
Fighting me for room to work on
the driveshaft while sitting in the passenger seat.
Fun it was.

Years back a guy at work did something similar attempting to weld a cracked steel oil pan on an engine.
He hosed the area down with brake clean, wiped it off and when he hit the trigger on the mig, it shot a 3' flame out the drain plug hole .

I bet that scared the crap outa ya
