Back then all I wanted to do was go fast. I remember seeing the Mule in a shop when my dad was picking up parts for his '78 honda 750/4 street bike. I'd never seen anything like it and thought it would be like a small sand rail or a 2 seat honda odyssey.

Is that 16 strand climbing line. I know it tough to get the eyes pulled in tight on that sometimes. Looks like a solid splice.

Similar to a 16 strand double braid.
Its 24 strand double braid rigging rope called stablebraid made by Samson. Nice thing about splicing yourself is you can make the eye any way you want.
