We're just dipping our toe in this year so I want to keep it low dollar. If i can get a rig like this to boil down 35ish gallons to ~3 in a day I'll be happy. I'll finish it on a turkey burner.

Pretty similar to the rig I cooked up.
Fire will be hottest at the front. Had to transfer sap to the front. It'll need wood about every 10ish minutes. Wrist size wood worked best. Keep the sap about 3 inches deep. Moar surface area is moar gooder.

Be true to your heritage mang, but not sure how much more Deltucky it gets.

Plan on the heat from the fire killing the cinder blocks. Tinfoil works good at filling any gaps you might have. A small fan will greatly improve how hot you get your fire.

Good morning fellas. Its Friday! Basketball with the grandkids tomorrow then Sunday off to the cabin for some me time. Supposed to be 50 on Sunday. Prime Rib burgers on a wood fire for lunch!
