Stihl USA likes to pretend that they control USPS and can stop any unauthorized saws from entering the country. Somewhere I have a letter from Stihl Canada telling me as much...
Definiative Dave sold more of the stihl case tools I think it was than anyone
Then he got a cease and desist from stihl.
After all the year's of stihl saying dealer only Idiots now at stihl have the full line at box stores rural king and Bridgeport equipment locally with echo products.
Taking the local 40+ year dealer's business.
Funny thing is like any box store
customers rampage on saws and equiptment and return it.

My boats here
Stihl dealer told me he knows of a guy that
Tried to ship 2 500i to the U.S..
He didn't know where the guy bought them at.
But they were stopped at the first attempt
At customs.
He had them taken apart and they tried again
They were seized at the second attempt
The guy's out of quite a bit of money.
I told the dealer to check the forums there's
Been a couple sold recently.
Stihls *s-wordty deal. You smell that?...

Haven’t seen a pic of the World Discoverer in several years. IIRC, hit a big uncharted reef in the Solomon Islands in 2000...captain intentionally steered the ship into the bay where it still sits today, to keep it from sinking. Can see the ship easily on Google maps.

Don't know I've bought complete saws from China
Never an issue.

The only thing who can stop a saw the enter a country, at least most western countries, is if the paper work is not done properly.
Maybe Stihl build saws for the European marked, and saws for the US marked, that is one thing I think can stop one European Stihl entering US. There is one more thing though, if Stihl build all their US saws in US, of course Stihl can protect their home marked if so.

Morning import tax thieves...38 heading to 60, foggy as a mf’r out. Son’s got the screamin’ eagle *s-wordts this morning, too many hot wings and cold beers last night I ‘spose. We’ll eventually bust some primers at some point...
You have to cook your food before you eat it.

We went to a Hooters and got their famous wings
Cooked in a filthy kitchen we could see all of it.
Many of the wings still had feathers on them
Crispy feathers after cooking.
The waitress wouldn't eat one i offered her
She gave us the wings for free
Friends ate them I wouldn't.

The hot wings were actually over-fried, before saucing. And Hooters wings are probably the *s-wordtiest wings on the planet. Had a Hooters about a mile from the house for several years, then it went tits up, just like most have around here, when Wild Wings Cafe and Buffalo Wild Wings showed up.

Forgot to say, my computer is up and running.
Your guys advised me to purchase WD 500GB SSD, the hdd is awesome, work like a charm!!!
At the 1st of the year replaced my 10 year old computer that was running Vista. New one is windows 10 with a 250gb ssd. Backup all saw files, documents and pics on multiple flash drives. Always paranoid about losing the saw files.

loosing data & document sucks, Ray.
Only once I’ve lost a vital hdd where I couldnt get out the data.
I’ll probleby purchase a big hdd and set up my computer to do weekly backup from the store drives.
I saw a guy in Canada demonstrate how he fix and get the data out from hdd’s, may try to do it on the old drive I lost years ago.

Awesome! Glad it worked for you! You'll notice it'll run so much faster and quieter now.
