Yeaterday amend of the day it started acting like it had a broken clutch spring. Engine pulled down a little at idle and the chain was running like it had a broke clutch spring. Tried to pull the drum off, tried, I couldn't even get it off with chanel locks. After it sat about 2 hours I could take the drum off no problem. There isnt a broken spring. Should mention when you spun the drum by hand when it was still on the saw you could hear the piston going up and down as well as feel the clutch and everything turning with the drum?
I think @beaglebriar covered it. Weird problem, but it could only be so much in that area. Maybe one of the clutch “spokes” is broken and not a spring? By spokes, I am referring to the 3 arms that radiate off the hub. I don’t know though, could have to do with the bearing and seal like you said.

Morning All.

Was 5F again this morning but wind in to my face on the way back. That's the problem with the current winter route going out and back, you might not feel the wind until you are at the farthest point and turn around to come home. I'll be much happier once the snow if gone and I can loop through the park again.

@beaglebriar I'll tell my friend about the XJ, that ounds good. He works with setting up scaffold and hauls a trailer from time to time along with buncha tools, poles, metal ect hence why he wanted such a big engine and SUV to keep his stuff dry while still being able to haul the fam around town. He said no mini van, nada lol. Still trying to get him in an Expedition!

Yeah he might want something bigger for towing. Why not a quad cab pickup??
