Dad still has his 1972. Its a BASS tourney model, or has been made to look like one. I need to run the hull number to find out. It doesnt have the original Evinrude on it. Someone stuck a POS Chrysler 105 on it. Still a solid boat. Fished in it 2 weeks ago.
Ive never seen another one of the smaller Ranger 2s with the stick steering around here.

Yep. Knew when it Cheeched to life that it was gonna be a bad day. Timing was way high. Stupid belt drive dizzy just caint get right. Then the throttle linkage stuck wide open. Thankfully, it wasnt running well enough to be going very fast. Just cut it off and got it back to neutral. Idled to where we wanted to fish. Used the trolling motor most of the day.

It has been years but all i remember was he is buried in a church graveyard.
At edge of the graveyard was a still standing 2 hole outhouse.
