Used to put a 12' tin boat in the back of a 69 GMC van and go somewhere every weekend.
what’s the gun of a sunburn if you don’t get work accomplished lolThe idea is a motor and boat small and light enough to stick in the bed of a truck and haul ass to the lake for the weekend. No drama....just a weekend of fishing.

Looking at boats is a bad addiction, you always want one more just a little different than the last.

Stick steering boats used to be common .
Sitting forward you could see stuff in a tight log infested area, they tended to turn on a dime .
The 40 was a workhorse lower rpm motor that lasts.
Auto ordnanceI see its made by AO. Dont know much about them.
Fished a little river boat that used to be built in Metter.
Narrow in the stern then wide square front 12' long.
From the stern you could paddle with one hand and pitch with the other.
Classic Ogeechee river boat.
