I have a 70s era 9.9 Johnson
And a 5hp Mariner air cooled

Yours and these will get you into a lot of places.

I miss fishing some old creek fed mill ponds with cypress trees everywhere.
A pond i fished back in the1970s had the dam break 10 years ago, the owners will not fix it.

The idea is a motor and boat small and light enough to stick in the bed of a truck and haul ass to the lake for the weekend. No drama....just a weekend of fishing.

Does it have the shallow water drive? Should tilt up one click so you can run in the skinny water.
Ive got an old Sears Ted Williams signature 4 hp air cooled that daddy gave me. Came from his uncle.
Tecumseh motor if I remember right. No reverse, just had a handlebar that wrapped around so you could steer it backward. No remote tank. Still got the original owners manual.
